Some Sport psychology training in badminton

1) Quickness trg means : the objective speed on hand, eye, leg and mind co-ordination required at that point on time. Example like the juggling of 2 shuttles in pushing. THIS IS TRAIN TO TRAIN PHASE.

2) Pre competition strategy means : throwing simulated events of game movement and giving quick answer on solutions to overcome the competitor's strategy. Example opponent is punching into your backcourt backhand and moving into offensive position, WHAT WILL YOU DO TO PREVENT THE OPPONENT FROM ACHEIVING HIS OBJECTIVE? THIS IS TRAIN TO COMPETE AND WIN PHASE.

3) Imagery technical movement means : If you have a wrong or unfavourable body movement to perform a technical shot like a backcourt lob. After being told by a coach to correct the movement you actually do this ITM to change your mind concept of the current movement to the new one. THIS IS TRAIN TO TRAIN PHASE.

4) Stress management means : You must be able to control your emotions after you have taught to do stress management. Example you go to the forest or beach on a day that you are very stress or uptight due to the coming exam or tournament. In the forest or beach you will concentrate to feel, smell, breath and listen to the envoirment around you. This will take at least half an hour. then you are ready to analyse the current position you are in and you are able to put every thing back to its place. THIS IS TRAIN TO COMPETE AND WIN PHASE

5) Risk management means : You will be taught when to take risk during a match. Example reading the lines when you are not confident to make a good delivery of the shuttle at the extreme backcourt due to wrong footing and you feel that it is out. This is train to compete and win phase.
